Hair Transplantation with a State-Of-The-Art "Megasession"
of Micro and Mini Grafts
|
For many years, hair transplants had a bad reputation, not undeserved. the large "punch grafts", containing many hairs, and the resultant scars, were quite visible. This "cornrow" effect left many patients wondering if the scattered clumps of hair were any improvement over baldness.
Today, however, a new state-of-the-art technique known as a "Megasession" has eliminated many of the problems previously associated with hair transplantation. Now it is possible to obtain a natural looking, permanent result with your own growing, healthy hair, in a single session.
The concept is simple. In a single "Megasession" between 1,000 and 2,500 micro or minigrafts, made from the patient's own hair, are used. A micrograft contains only 1 or 2 hairs, a minigraft 3 or 4 hairs. The more numerous the grafts, and the smaller the grafts, the more natural the result.
The technique was originated in Brazil. Dr. Barrera introduced micro and mini graft megasessions in Houston and is one of the most experienced surgeons in the U. S. on this procedure.
